New Hybrids & WOWY SuperGym

WOWY SuperGym

Team Beachdody has a neat feature for tracking your workouts called the WOWY SuperGym as I’m sure many of you are aware.  I use it daily as it’s motivational to “check off” the boxes on the calendar.   There are also daily prizes ($500-$1000) when you enter the FREE Beachbody Challenge and log your workouts!  I know several people who have won.

Auto-Schedule

WOWY has a very handy feature for auto-scheduling your workouts.  Choose your program from the list, put in your start date, and the WOWY creates the calendar for you.  This is a great feature so you don’t have dig out your calendar everyday or even better if you’ve misplaced it.

Hybrids

The best thing about having multiple programs is the ability to do a hybrid or the combination of 2 or more programs.  The P90X/Insanity hybrid is incredibly popular.  My own Barbarian hybrid is a combination of multiple programs.  When I 1st started I was hesitant to create my own hybrid as I felt I might miss some areas and over-train others.  Beachbody started including official hybrids in the calendars of newer programs.  Asylum contains hybrids with both P90X and Insanity.

I was poking around in WOWY the other day and I was thrilled to discover that they’ve added several official hybrids!  By choosing one of these Beachbody hybrids you’ll know that you’re choosing a BALANCED program.  Some popular hybrids available to auto-schedule are:

  • P90X/Insanity
  • P90X/TurboFire
  • Asylum/Insanity
  • Asylum/P90X
  • TurboFire/ChaLEAN Extreme

If you want to create your own hybrid then go ahead and have fun.  I’ll be happy to take a look and see if their any issues with your creation, just send me a copy.  Remember if you’re in the market for a new program a Challenge Pack is always the best option.

I would like to create a hybrid with BBL and Turbo Fire. Any suggestons?

I like the P90X/Insanity hybrid schedule, but what're your thoughts on dropping core, cardio and balance and doing Pure Cardio instead? In month 2 of my hybrid, I'm going to sustitute in the max workouts and then month 3 substitute in the bonus workouts, all on cardio days. Other than that, the schedule will be the same. Thoughts?

I don't see any issues subbing Pure Cardio for Core Cardio and Balance. You might also alternate weeks with them.
